Sr. Frances Lalor
Born and raised in Ireland, She entered the Sister of Mercy upon completion of high school and after First Profession of Vows came to the United States. She graduated from Marillac College in St. Louis, Mo. with a B.A. in Education, majoring in social Studies and Theology. She taught all grades in elementary school in Columbia, Missouri, before earning her Master’s Degree in Religious Education from the University of St. Thomas in Houston TX. She moved to Florida, first as a teacher and a catechist in the Orlando Diocese and then to the Diocese of Palm Beach to earn her certification to be a school principal after which she became principal in the St. Luke Catholic School in Lake Worth, FL. Sr. Frances later completed a Sabbatical course at the School of applied Theology of the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. She became Director of Religious Education at Epiphany Cathedral in 1994.
